There are several options to get to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe by bus. Although the most used lines are those that connect the capital of Bizkaia, Bilbao, with Gaztelugatxe, there are also other options such as the lines that connect the towns of Bermeo and Bakio. All the options mentioned below correspond to lines of Bizkaibus, the public bus company of the province of Bizkaia. These lines may change their itinerary and schedule, we recommend you to confirm itineraries and schedules by calling 946 125 555. Remember that the bus stop in San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is called Gaztelubegi. If you have booked a guided tour of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, we recommend that you arrive with plenty of time to spare in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Bus in winter.
In winter (September to June), there is no direct bus service between Bilbao and San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. We must transfer. The best option is to take line A3518 from Moyua (Bilbao) to Bakio and then take line A3524 from Bakio to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. This last line is carried out in a cab van with the Bizkaibus insignia on the front and does not accept BARIK card. Only cash payments are accepted.

Bus in summer.
In summer (June to September), bus frequencies and routes increase, allowing us to travel directly from Bilbao to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. In this case, the best option is to use line A3517.
